Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! I hope wherever you are, you’re feeling fresh, cool, and easy-breezy — AKA all the things I’m not. 😅😅
Beat the Heat

VINTAGE FRENCH SWEET PEA POINTELLE BIKE SHORTS - SMIZE VINTAGE
It’s HOT. All of California is currently engulfed in a heat wave, and I’ve been coated in a thin sheen of sweat for three days straight. To keep cool, I’ve mostly relied on my trusty bike shorts, but the clingy spandex fabric still makes for a rather... sticky situation. In search of a more comfortable, breathable alternative, I stumbled across these darling floral pointelle ones from Etsy shop Smize Vintage. Each pair is made to order — the shop owner, Marta, cuts and sews the shorts herself from deadstock fabric. Made from natural cotton and printed with an adorable sweet pea pattern, they look great under a flowy sundress or just on their own. So cute! So chic! So perfect for dramatically flinging yourself onto your couch and declaring “I’m melting!”

PANATOMY NO. 40 RIB CAGE TOTE BAG - MUTSU BY PROSPECTIVE FLOW
I’m very much on board with Portland-based brand Prospective Flow’s mission, which follows the spirit of Mottainai: a Japanese value that embraces wasting nothing and recycling everything. This philosophy is especially embodied by the works of Prospective Flow designer Mutsu, whose quilted patchwork aesthetic is cobbled together from vintage garments and deadstock fabrics. The end results are wonderfully offbeat shorts, tees, and bucket hats. Since they’re all hand-stitched, the price is pretty up there, but no worries: Mutsu’s YouTube channel features behind-the-scenes videos of his creative process, so you can follow his tutorial and DIY this amazing rib cage tote bag at home.
Lost in the Gloss

BOBA MILK TEA GLOSS - GLOSSTEA
If I was an ABG (which I’m not, but if I was) I would be losing my mind over these bubble tea lip glosses. The formula is vegan and cruelty free, and they come in all my favorite flavors: classic milk tea, taro milk tea, white peach iced tea. They also offer flavors inspired by the Korean Binggrae milks — banana, honeydew, strawberry, mango, and coconut — which I feel like was specifically geared towards me, since every time I go to H-Mart I make sure to load up on bulk 6-packs of those babies. Also, they come in the cutest goddamn packaging I’ve ever seen??? I’ll take 10, please.
