Greetings and Salutations
Hello! Goodness, there sure are a lot more of you this week than last week. To all the newcomers: welcome! My name is Kitty, I just graduated from USC, and I am an online shopping fiend. I’m a big proponent of shopping small and supporting independent brands, so I started Worn In, Worn Out to spread the word about some of my favorite finds. Look out for new posts in your inbox every Wednesday!

TULLE GARDEN DRESS - LIVBYLIV (VIA CAFE FORGOT)
After reading Rachel Syme’s article about Nap Dresses, my mind immediately jumped to LivbyLiv’s slightly more alert versions. Rather than a soporific effect, Liv’s frocks instead possess an energizing power; put one on and you’re instantly five years old at the family picnic, rolling and tumbling around and accidentally smearing chocolate cake all over your nice church dress. Liv runs a zero-waste operation where nothing, not even a stray thread, goes to waste; she painstakingly handcrafts her garments using deadstock materials ranging from drapes to doilies, blankets to bed linens. I’m especially enamored with this frothy cream puff of a dress, which is simply begging to acquire a few grass stains.

WILDFLOWER TEMPORARY TATTOOS - LITTLE PAISLEY DESIGNS
I have a very small stick n poke tattoo on my ankle of an ampersand (I know, cringe, but hey I was 17.) I’ve thought about getting more, but was never attached enough to any particular design to want it permanently festooned on my body. Lately, however, I’ve been covering myself head to toe with cartoon dinosaurs and unicorns, as I’ve discovered a huge stash of temporary tattoos amassed over years of party favors. It’s been fun, but I think I’m ready to graduate to some more grown-up designs, such as these lovely, delicate nature-inspired ones from Etsy shop LittlePaisleyDesigns. They’re sweet and subtle, perfect for tucking behind your ear or adorning your collarbones.

AESTHETIC VAPORWAVE STATUE CANDLE - STUDIO CULT
I know vaporwave is all a big joke, but like… I actually really enjoy it? Listening to the infamous Macintosh Plus album kinda slows my thoughts down, as if the music injects Jell-O into your head and your neurons are wading through fluorescent gelatin. It’s probably the closest I’ll ever get to making my brain nice and smooth. Anyway, don’t mind me, I’m just gonna light this candle and put on Floral Shoppe and feel my sulci flatten out.
Tried one of my recs and loved it (or hated it)? Wanna get something cool on my radar? Drop me a line! Feel free to reply to this email, or swing by my Twitter @kitguo!
