Achilles' Heel
Welcome to Worn In, Worn Out #30! For those of you who are new, every tenth post I write about things I dislike rather than like. My mistakes are your learning opportunity!
Why’d you get that?

WIT D’ORSAY OXFORDS - FREDA SALVADORE
I have naturally wide feet, made wider by bunions borne from years of strapping myself into pointe shoes. The only types of footwear that can comfortably accommodate my girthy metatarsals are dad sneakers and Birkenstocks. When I chanced upon these slender, tapered, pointed toe Oxfords in a thrift store, I knew I was in for a world of hurt… yet I couldn’t say no.
Sadly, after just an hour of walking around in these, I’m limping like a lame duck. I’ve bravely tried to power through the pain, but I think it’s time to accept that there are just some things in life that aren’t meant for you. Oh, well: if anyone with lovely delicate size 6 Egyptian feet wants these, I’m happy to send them your way.
I’m upset with:

THE CULT CLASSIC PURIFYING FACE CLEANSER - TULA
Aren’t you supposed to be washing germs off your face when you use a face wash? Tula’s purifying cleanser claims to be infused with probiotics and superfoods; it’s chock full of buzzy ingredients like chicory root, turmeric root, and lactic acid, plus a strain of probiotic called bifida ferment lysate, which supposedly helps hydrate and lock in moisture. I was intrigued enough to obtain a sample, but unfortunately, once all these materials are combined, they create a very potent and off-putting smell, kind of like expired baby powder mixed with pool chlorine. Honestly, every time I use it I can’t wait to wash it off. I’ll be sticking to good ol’ CeraVe, thanks.
On my skip list:

USC TROJAN BASICS HERITAGE FLEECE SWEATSHIRT - USC BOOKSTORE
I feel like the only acceptable time for someone to wear college gear is while they are in college. Alas, throughout these 4 whole years I did not once avail myself of a USC-emblazoned sweatshirt, and now it’s simply too late for me to buy one just to get two months of wear out of it. Also, red does not go with pink hair!
