Hi everyone, happy Wednesday!
Got a fun one for you today — this week I’m doing a newsletter swap with Nora Henick! She’s a digital strategist who’s turned her thrifting prowess into Thanks It’s From eBay, a weekly roundup of all the hidden gems she’s uncovered while trawling through the internet’s wild west of shopping platforms. When she’s not busy secondhand shopping, you can find her making homemade pasta, trying to whip up an exact replica of the Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, or attempting to bake croissants.
Clearly Nora’s got a knack for sniffing out vintage treasures, and I’m so excited to share all her lovely WIWO picks. Plus, don’t forget to head over to her Substack and its attendant IG account to check out what’s on my eBay watch list right now. 👀
Cup of Joe
VINTAGE ESPRESSO CUPS WITH SAUCERS, SET OF 6 - VIA DEI NAVIGLI ($82.43)
I love cooking and baking for loved ones; it’s not something I’m necessarily amazing at but it is something that has become a true treat for me to do. Because of that, I like to have cute kitchen accoutrements that can help make the eating experience feel even more personal. If I didn’t live in New York City and had unlimited space, I think I would have a room just for vintage dishware. These are another cute option that I can envision affogatos served in.
You’ve Got Mail
1997 STEPHEN GOULD USPS LOVE LETTERS STATIONERY + ENVELOPES - DORFSMITH GIFTS ($25)
I’m a memory hoarder, and I have a bag that grows increasingly larger with each passing year because I save every card anyone ever writes and/or sends to me. There is something so sentimental to me about thoughts and feelings physically being written down, like a somewhat permanent declaration. I love writing them and I love receiving them even more. If you’re reading this, feel free to send me a love letter.
Puff Piece
VINTAGE POWERPUFF GIRLS MINI MUG - LET’S LOVE VINTAGE ($9)
This is arguably the best mug you could ever drink from. It could also serve as a sweet gift for a friend who maybe relates to Blossom, Bubbles, or Buttercup, which I think most of us do.
Locket Down
VINTAGE HEART LOCKET CHARM/PENDANT - OZYMANDIAS JEWELRY ($495)
It’s hard to tell in the photo of me above, but I’m wearing basically the same exact locket, which was a gift from my grandpa to my grandma. After my grandma passed, my aunt gave it to me, and it’s probably one of my favorite items I have. Let’s match 🙂
